  • My Christmas Knitting

Less then 2 weeks to Christmas and like always I've got unfinished Christmas knits on my needles. Only a few though, not too bad!

Below is a shot of my WIPs and one FO. The FO is a new Smocked Slouch for a dear friend. Love it in Plucky Primo Worsted, colorway Chicago Blue. I've also got a pair of Ripple Effect Fingerless Gloves on my needles, hope to finish this pair and then one more.

The WIP that has progressed the least is a new Herrington cowl that I'm knitting for myself and as part of the Herrington KAL that is going on. I'm using a skein of Bare Naked Wools Ghillie in cream and a stashed skein of vintage Plucky, all I know is it's a fingering weight and has a cool variegated looked with a colorway named Saddleback. The two look great together!

All of these WIPs sit on top of Christmas stockings for my boys. I made WZ's back in 2010 (WOW can't believe it's been that long) and since then I've made one for each of my boys. All I have left to do in duplicate stitch the initial on LZ (yeah that didn't happen last year) and OZs, sew a liner and block. I'm pretty confident they'll make it to the fire place mantel in time for Santa but Christmas does have a tendency to sneak up on me faster then expected!

I hope you are enjoying some Christmas knitting. With Christmas coming so fast I hope it's still fun knitting and not stressful. I'll keep you posted with FOs as I get them done. Hopefully it won't be too much longer!
