It's so hard to believe that last weekend I was running around with all my knitty friends at TNNA. I can't say enough about how much fun I had! One of the really great things that I was able to be a part of was the Yarn Thing Designer Dinner Hosted by lovely and very talented Marly Bird. Not only was I lucky enough to be invited to this special, invite only dinner but this year I was also a sponsor! I was a sponsor as both Knitterella and Jill Zielinski Designs.
As a Knitterella sponsor I contributed a variety of gift tag packs and as a Jill Zielinski Designs sponsor I contributed my graphic design services to the event. By doing that I actually worked withMarlyand used her logo to create a custom logo for this year's Designer Dinner. This is something that Marly hadn't done before and when she asked if I'd be interested in doing the logo I was totally on board! We created a fun, Marly-like logo and this logo was used on posters, banners and even t-shirts that we given away to each one in attendance.
Speaking of 'giving things away'. You probably have heard of the awesome goodie bags that Marly hands out to the designers at this dinner. Well, the generosity this year's sponosors held up to years past and all the sponsors were VERY generous. Below is a shot of just some of the goodies that were in my over-flowing googie bag. Pretty sweet huh?!
Soooo many wonderful items from so many wonderful sponsors. It really was quite exciting to head back to my hotel with such goodies. And check out the beautiful skein of yarn that I got in my bag from SweetGeorgia. I have been wanting to get my needles on her gorgeous yarn so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this stunning skein! Squee!
I want to send out HUGE props to Marly for putting on another awesome, Yarn Thing Designer Dinner.Marlyis one busy lady so I can only imagine the amount of work (and stress) she must go through to pull this dinner together. Once again, she did an amazing job. Thank you Marly Bird!!! I/we appreciate everything you do for all the designers that go to this dinner and everything you do to for designers in general. You're efforts don't go unnoticed. You ROCK!!!
